Courtney Summers is an experienced equine specialist and riding instructor with over 16 years of horsemanship experience across both Western and English disciplines. She brings a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to her work at Gallop To Growth, specializing in equine-assisted services that foster healing, growth, and personal empowerment.


Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences with an emphasis in Equine Science from Utah State University. Her education includes extensive coursework in adaptive riding, equine-human sciences, equine mental health services, and training/conditioning of lesson horses. She has served as an AmeriCorps Intern with USU Equine Assisted Services and is currently working toward certifications through PATH Intl., EAGALA, and CHA.


Courtney’s passion for horses and healing comes together through her work with clients of all ages and abilities. With experience in horse training, youth development, therapy support, and community programming, she offers sessions grounded in safety, empathy, and connection. Her attention to detail and engaging instruction style help both clients and horses thrive in the arena and beyond.
