Rachael Pluim, LCSW

Rachael Pluim is an experienced and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of dedicated service in the mental health and therapeutic communities. She is known for her grounding presence, strong interpersonal skills, and her ability to meet clients with empathy, clarity, and purpose.

Rachael brings an extensive background in acute care, residential treatment, and equine-assisted work. At Ogden Regional Medical Center, she has provided comprehensive biopsychosocial and ASAM assessments, facilitated SBIRT interventions, supported patients and families through crisis moments, and connected individuals to detox, residential, and intensive outpatient treatment programs. Her work reflects strong clinical judgment, effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

Prior to her hospital work, Rachael spent eight years at Solstice RTC, where she supervised more than 40 students, maintained complex treatment and academic schedules, facilitated psychoeducational groups, and provided weekly guidance sessions for adolescents. Her experience includes substantial equine-assisted programming—she has facilitated both Equine Therapy and therapeutic riding groups and has been engaged in equine-assisted environments since 2010 through Horses as Healers. This longstanding connection to equine work strengthens her ability to integrate experiential approaches with evidence-based mental health care.

Rachael earned her Master of Social Work from Boise State University and her Bachelor of Social Work from Weber State University. She is recognized for her strong communication, boundary-setting abilities, active listening, and problem-solving skills—all key components of her relational and therapeutic style.

Her passion for equine-assisted healing, combined with her clinical expertise and calm, grounded presence, makes her a natural fit for clients seeking safety, growth, and authentic connection in therapy.
