Summer 2025 EAP Groups

Register Now

This summer, we invite you to step into the arena and experience the healing power of horses. Our seasonal lineup of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) groups offers safe, supportive, and meaningful opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth. Whether you're a veteran rediscovering purpose, a first responder seeking calm, a survivor reclaiming your voice, or someone simply looking to heal in nature—there’s a place for you here. No riding experience needed—just a willingness to show up and take the next step.

Silver Stirrup Circle

Wednesdays at 10:30 AM | Starting July 9, 2025
Gentle support for older adults experiencing loneliness, depression, or emotional loss.

Aging brings wisdom, but it can also bring loss, isolation, and emotional pain. Our Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program offers older adults a unique opportunity to reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the healing presence of horses.

This program is designed specifically for individuals in their later years who may be struggling with loneliness, fear, grief, or depression. Through gentle, ground-based interactions with horses and the guidance of licensed therapists, participants can experience emotional relief, improved self-esteem, and meaningful connection—all without needing to talk through everything.

Sessions are held in a peaceful, natural setting where horses help participants stay present, regulate emotions, and feel seen—often in ways words alone cannot achieve.

No prior horse experience is needed—just a willingness to try something new, and a heart open to healing.

Facilitated by a licensed therapist and equine specialist, each session uses ground-based equine activities to help participants rebuild trust, reconnect with their bodies, and reclaim their sense of identity and empowerment.

No prior horse experience is required—just a willingness to heal, connect, and begin again.

Unbridled Strength

Fridays at 3:30 PM | Begins August 1, 2025 (Closed Group)

 Veteran Horsemanship Group
Hands-on horsemanship with a mission: prepare to show horses while building purpose and resilience.

This closed, weekly equine-assisted group is designed specifically for military Veterans. While therapeutic in nature, the group is intentionally structured around learning horsemanship skills and preparing to participate in local horse shows. This purpose-driven approach offers Veterans the opportunity to build mastery, foster purpose, and engage in connection—without the traditional structure of group talk therapy.

Each session combines hands-on horsemanship training with subtle, embedded mental health concepts. Skills such as grooming, leading, groundwork, and eventually riding and showmanship are taught progressively. Mental health themes—such as regulation, trust, boundaries, and self-efficacy—are interwoven based on the skill being practiced.

The Quiet Call

  First Responder EAP Group
Tuesdays at 5:30 PM | Starting July 8, 2025
Open group to decompress, reset, and reconnect—without pressure to talk it out.

First responders face unique stressors—exposure to trauma, high-pressure environments, and emotional isolation. This open, ongoing Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) group is designed specifically for first responders seeking emotional support, stress reduction, and connection with others who understand their world.

Sessions take place weekly in a peaceful, natural setting and involve ground-based work with horses—no riding required. Participants are guided through a blend of experiential equine activities, reflective discussion, and mental wellness practices facilitated by licensed clinicians and equine specialists.

The group is structured so that each session stands alone, meaning first responders can attend as often as they are able without feeling behind. Themes such as trust, regulation, grief, identity, and recovery from cumulative stress are explored through activities and interactions with the horses.
